About Me
I am a Board-Certified Pelvic Health Physical Therapist turned Birth Doula and Childbirth Educator. I started diving deeper into the pregnancy and postpartum world when I noticed that my patients wanted someone who knew their body from a pelvic health perspective, who knew their birth wishes, and who knew how best to assist them during their delivery. I wanted to be that person!
I fell in love with attending births and became a DONA-trained birth doula. I then became pregnant with my second child and became inspired to teach about childbirth with a pelvic focus in order to help empower births and provide the knowledge that made my second birth serene, even in the chaos. I became certified as a Childbirth Educator through Birth Arts International in order to fill this gap and to help take back the ownership of your birth.
When Iām not teaching, you can find me enjoying time with my two children, eating fun foods, diving into a great book, or working as a Pelvic Health Physical Therapist in OKC.
My goal is to provide childbirth education classes with a pelvic health and trauma-informed focus. I want you to feel empowered by knowing the ins and outs of pregnancy, labor and delivery; your anatomy and physiology; your options for labor progressions and birth; and to feel prepared for the immediate postpartum time.
I believe that knowledge is power. You can feel empowered by taking the information and practical tips into your delivery so that you can stay serene throughout.
DISCLAIMER:
I am operating as a Childbirth Educator and Birth Doula in these classes and not as a Pelvic PT. I am unable to evaluate, assess, and treat on an individual basis and rather will be giving general education and recommendations.
